Hey CCM Fans!
Are you going to a summer festival this year? If you are, we want to hear from YOU!!! Each year, CCM releases a Festival Guide, and we want to hear YOUR stories this summer about your festival experiences for possible inclusion in CCM's 2010 Festival Guide! Email your summer festival stories and pics to lwilliams@salempublishing.com or post your stories and pics in this thread. If your story is chosen for inclusion in next year's festival guide, we'll send you a cool prize pack! In the meantime, we're looking for fun, candid stories about your experience at the numerous Christian festivals this summer. my Niece sings - recorded a CD in Nashville last fall, when she was still 16. She will be in concert with Buddy Jewel and some others on May 1st. This is a msg on her facebook page that I want to share......

Several years ago I lived in Fort Collins, Colorado. Starting a couple of years before I moved, I began participating in a summer worship/praise concert (songfest) called "Praise in the Park" which was sponsored by a large church in Loveland, Resurrection Fellowship.
Since I still have good friends in Colorado, each year I go back for a vacation, and the folks at Rez are kind enough to allow me to come and sing with them. These free concerts are amazing; the one they do in Fort Collins is actually in a city park (surprising that they can get a permit to sing about Jesus in this day and age) and many thousands of people attend it. They also do an altar call in the middle of it and every year many people make a decision to give their lives to Christ. It's a powerful, wonderful event and I'm blessed to be a part of it.
The largest one I recall had around 30 people in the band and on lead vocals, with close to 200 people in a mass choir, all on stage. One of the purposes for these concerts is to show the unity we all enjoy in Christ, so the band and mass choir included people from many, many different area churches.
