Great article. Sometimes we forget about heart disease. I hope everyone who deals with this issue is getting the help they need.

It has apples on it - oh wait, that was a different question. Happy February everyone. If I'm feeling a little bit crazy, can I call off sick? If I'm sick of my house being a pigsty can I call in sick? Never mind, the hubby is actually GETTING sick, so I wouldn't get anything done anyhow.

He had an upset tummy - but those icky problems were going around work last week. He ate and felt better. He isn't allowed to get sick any more - bosses orders.

Sweetie said that to me this morning, he told me that my problem is that I think everyone elses problems are my problems. PBee is still trying, we have been stressed and oh-so-busy so healthy eating is de-proritized. It isn't fair, I eat healthy and he loses weight, that is messed up... Better days are coming.

to have all their books sorted out. Kylie, what does this mean? Do your kids go to a public or private school? I know you've probably mentioned it before, but I'm very forgetfull.

Gotcha. My kids were in a christian school for awhile and we had to pay a curriculum fee. I'm amazed at how much we have to pay now for public school.

20 years ago yesterday (2-2-90) Sweetie told me I was the only thing he wanted for his birthday and gave me an engagement ring... Yesterday, he told me that my food was MUCH BETTER than the stuff that so-n-so made and she will brag up her cooking. But she was at a disadvantage this time, I had to make my own and she bought frozen that she put together...

I am about to lose my mind!!!!! Aryn has this Social Studies teacher that just seems to have it in for her!! There were two assignments due one day but due to a school delay or something they both ended up a day late. EVERY child in her class had it marked on their paper and on the online gradebook that these were a day late but he still gave them full credit due for them EXCEPT. . . . Aryn had to make a correction on the writing assignment, which they are allowed to do after they get them back and turned in within a week and get partial credit for it. WELL in the grade book this teacher has it ALL mixed up. He's given her NO credit for the one assignment that we have here as a 100% paper, 33 out of 33. He's given her FULL credit for the assignment that should have had at least a few points taken off AND now he's got her at a ZERO for another assignment that isn't even due, according to his written assignment plan on the schools website til tomorrow!!!!! I KNOW this teacher was expecting another Ty. He adored Ty. Ty came through his class 4 years ago with straight A's barely missing a perfect year by a few percentage points. But Aryn is NOT Ty. GRRRR! Hubby's going to have to go in and have a conversation with this man. I don't think I would be very civil right now. Blessings, Garsy

Hi everybody! I am sorry you are all sick (or your kids and spouses). I threw my back out a bit over a week ago and FINALLY, I can move today. My kids are all doing pretty good in school. Our exchange student got out of all his semester finals because he didn't need them. That was cool. He and I spent the day home together. My daughter Kali is all settled into third grade and my little one Kay is earning a reputation in her class as a stubborn little one. Not sure if I appreciate the teachers telling her that, but then at the same time, when she told us about it, she just said it like it was nothing and moved on to the next thing she wanted to talk about. What happened is that while at lunch, she wanted to eat a piece of birthday cake I sent before she finished her sandwich. She just had the crust left, and I know she doesn't eat the crust and I don't punish her for it. She eats almost anything we put in front of her so I am not worried about nutrition when it comes to her. But her teachers told her that she was going to finish her sandwich (crust) BEFORE she could have cake and apparently she had something to say about that and one of them told her that she simply couldn't have her cake because she is so stubborn. I don't know if I should be mad or not. I don't think I am mad, but at the same time, my friends are all flipping out because that is no way to talk to a child. But they don't live with my children and while it is true that she is stubborn, and sassy at times, she is also wonderful. And she knows that and maybe that is why the stubborn thing didn't bother her. She was almost proud of it. But then again, should a teacher be telling a 5 year old that they are stubborn???? I don't know. I am not going to say anything to the school, but my friends who also have kids in that school are still telling me I should say something. Jake is doing great and I am just here shuffling them all around to where they need to get to. I am so tired and sometimes I wish I could rent a hotel room that has a jacuzzi in it one night all by myself, bring a good book and just spend the night in silence. No yelling, screaming, or even talking. No tv either. I just sometimes don't feel like I am being a good parent. Anyway, off of my pity party. I will check back later.

Hi Tracy! quote:
ORIGINAL: RainbowSkies I am sorry you are all sick (or your kids and spouses). WOW! I had a total dyslexic moment there. I read that as "I am sorry you all are sick of your kids and spouses." lol!

Hi Roberta! Good to see you here HeRemains! I am glad we didn't get enough snow or ice for school to be canceled again. Kath, I'm sorry Linz is having such a hard time getting better. Did you get the college stuff worked out with your son? Tracy, I'd be tempted to tell the school to not worry about what my child ate for lunch. Dee
