Mike's quartet went off the road due to Mike's wife being very ill and Will is retired according to Dean Adkins, Will's brother. Will has sung and held a B1 and Mike told me he could hit a A1 when everything is just right. These two along with Holcomb have to lead the pack. I have several CD's highlighting Will and he makes hitting F1 and G1 look like child's play. He has a remarkable voice and can even sing tenor. Craig

As far as low down goes, I belive in the old saying "less is more". I like a bass singer who only hits the extremely low stuff every now and then in a service. Kinda keep ya on the edge of your seat wondering "when is the next low one coming?" Love hearing the TIGHT 4 part harmony IMHO Oh yeah......the slide on every song ending kinda gets old in my book, keep it up or just go straight to the note and hold it out!

Well Brent hadn't got to hear your bass sining in a while. Some of the smoothest basses were London Parris and George Younce. Ray Dean is not the lowest bass singer but he is smooth.

Hey Guy's! You all should check out Cecil Stringer, Spoken 4 Quartet. I play piano for the quartet, and Cecil hit's an Eb every weekend. Cecil's one of the lowest, JD said it, not me... Ryan-

Of the groups I have heard recently, I would vote for Jeremy Lile and Aaron McCune. Now, for a "nostalgic bass sound" and a very rich voice, I would vote for Pat Barker of The Dixie Echoes. He has a very nice bass voice and he adds an incredible sound to the quartet.

Funny thing is the average concert goer does not care about what note someone hits it is either good or bad to them, however I get your point. I agree with Brent keep me on the edge.

Maybe he has already been mentioned, but what about Mike Presnell? I know I enjoyed hearing him back in the 90s with Perfect Heart. He may have not been THE lowest bass ever, but I would put him the in the discussion.

There are two bass singers performing at the Pierce Arrow theater in Branson, MO that claim to be the two lowest bass singers in the world. I don't recall their names, but I have heard them and they are, indeed, very low!!!

Are ya'll talking about lowest bass singers still, or favorite bass singers? I think Tim Storms is the lowest. Glenn Dustin is my favorite all around bass singer, but i also like Jason Fox, Eric Bennett, Jeff Chapman, Jeremy Lile, and Tim Duncan. If you want a nice smooth bass, check out Jason Fox with Garment of Praise. He's solid and smooth all the way down to the A1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NCerc3xhP8&feature=related

Some of you may recognize his name. He is the one who won the first ever Singing News Songwriter's Search several years ago. His song, The Empty Tomb Says It All, is the Kingdom Heirs current single and charted at #44 the first time on the Top 80. Great song. Make sure to keep your ears open for it. :-)
