I think that just like FLocke (or Smocke) couldn't kill Jacob himself, I don't think he can get off the island by himself. That could be wrong but it's what I'm thinking so far. Yes, that's the impression I got too. He needs a living human being to accompany him as a "vehicle" for leaving the island.

So Hurley is a candidate. Is Jack one too ? And what exactly is a candidate ? I think all six are candidates. Candidates for what? Here's my theory: Jacob and Not-Locke are some kind of gods or demi-gods, hence the Egyptian statue. The island is Not-Locke's jail, and Jacob is his jailer. Knowing he was going to die, Jacob lined up a series of candidates to take his place as Not-Locke's jailer, and each has to pass through a series of tests to determine who is most qualified. Meanwhile, Jacob's absence frees Not-Locke from his jail if he can somehow get off the island. Something tells me if this happens it would not be good for planet Earth in general. There is a set amount of time for Jacob to find his replacement before whatever force holds Not-Locke on the island is permanently removed. Either that or they just like messing with our heads.

So the flash sideways has Rose with out Bernard, She was with Bernard on the plane in the flash sideways, remember? Someone somewhere said the name by 108 was Wallace. That's right they were on the plane together. Well, I was just going off the enhanced version word explanations. It said Rose didn't live in LA, but NY originally. But they both have cancer. That she & Bernard weren't together. Wonder if a sticky note was misplaced by the writers or something. Sawyer may be stuck in the cave. Evil Locke can become smoke & climb out without the ladder. Did the ladder break prevent Sawyer from climbing out ?

I just had a thought, if 108 is the sum of all the numbers, could the 108 person be when they all join together in some way? Kinda like when all the parts get together, then they are stronger?

I wonder how Sawyer could even get out of the cave since the ladders were broken. I read somewhere that Claire got killed when Keamy and his team destroyed New Otherton. I vaguely remember her being there, and spinning away when he shot up the houses, so this is some sort of fake Claire. I dunno, just something I read. Smocke will just scoop up Sawyer when he turns into that black smoke creature and fly him to the top again.

I have to have my glasses on to read any writing on the TV or move really close. Maybe we will see them together in another epi. I probably read it wrong since they were on the plane together. The plane scene was part of the flash sideways wasn't it ?

The only thing is, SMokey is still under some kind of authority, since the kid he saw told him he can't kill Sawyer.

Looks like the bad guys are winning so far. But I have a feeling Kate's gonna wind up being a mole for the good guys. And there are still 4 candidates (Jack, Hurley, Sawyer, and Jin/Sun) that are either undecided or firmly in Jacob's camp. I think Kate's going to turn out to be a wild card. My jail theory is looking pretty good so far. Last night Dogen said that Not-Locke was "trapped" on the island.

Haven't checked the ABC website for some time.. I just spotted the last supper picture [flashing back to Battlestar Galatica] I suppose that holds some hints. Has this Lost Last Supper been discussed?
