I wear glasses. I used to wear contacts, but my eyes get too dry.

Glasses, since I was 14. Used to wear contacts for the stage but now my eyes can't tolerate them for even a couple of hours (I'm routinely fighting off either blepharitis or ocular rosacea; no idea which).

glasses...my reading rose to 2.5 I may try contacts next year. One eye is for reading & the other is for distance.

Glasses since 4th grade, contacts since 9th...Stupidly went w/o anything in 7th and 8th grade (vanity)...which is bad b/c I am VERY near sighted... which in case anyone forgot near sighted....you can see things near, but have difficulty with vision far away far sighted..you can see things that are farther away but need glasses for things closer....these people often just need reading glasses. Some people get this backwards & it annoys me. I've had eye docs. explain it to me several times, and I think they would know! One lady when I was a kid got it backwards and she was convinced and I couldn't argue b/c I had to be polite. I was so frustrated. Except my near sightedness is so bad I have to be only 3 inches in nearness. b4 I can see clearly. I come from a fam. of blind bats. My correction in my contacts is -7 curvature. Pretty bad. I have the same prescription in each though, which is somewhat unusual. When I first had to get glasses, my dad didn't let me pick out my own frames , and I HATED the frames he picked. I would let my kids pick out their own frames.

I have contact and glasses but I don't wear either. I only us my glasses at the movies, in a presentation at work, interviewing (it makes me look smart LOL!), or driving at night in a strange area.

Since my cataract surgery I have one eye that sees near and one eye that sees far and there is a blur zone in between. I do wear glasses for far vision in both eyes when I drive (a side effect, no temptation to text while I drive because with my glasses I couldn't read the screen anyhow).

I have both and switch, but am using glasses more as the years go on. My eyes are drier or something. My mother picked out my glasses when I was a kid. It wasn't until my dad lost his job and we had to pick from the charity glasses that I got a pair that looked good on me. I don't blame my mother too much. I just have a weird face. When I find a pair that works I will keep them until they are literally falling off my face.

My contacts are a -6.5 and a -7.5, but I can tell my eyes have gotten worse and need to be checked again. My eyes get bad so quickly that I wind up needing a new prescription every other year or so. My brother is somewhere in the -12 range I think. I have a pair of glasses that I occasionally use for backup (probably less than once/month) but they throw off my depth perception so they aren't much good anyways and I certainly couldn't drive with them. I've worn contacts since 7th grade- I wore glasses from 2nd-6th grades. I wear my contacts all day everyday- its so much a part of my routine that I don't think about it anymore. I've tried sleeping in them (the ones I have you're supposed to be able to) but it actually freaks me out to wake up and be able to see clearly.

I've worn glasses since I was 6. 30+ years now. I've never tried contacts, because I have no desire to mess with my eyes that much. I have a hard time putting my fingers near my eyes anyway! My mom and dad always let me choose my own frames within reason of course and it still took til I was in college before I found a style that worked for me. My eyes got gradually worse, and my prescription stronger for many years, but the last two appointments has my dr. saying that my eyes have seemed to stabilize some, but now I'm facing bi-focals. My eldest daughter has been wearing glasses for about a year now and I'm thinking it will be at his next appointment that my youngest ds will be prescribed a pair as well. Blessings, Garsy

I don't wear glasses or contacts, but I'll probably need them in the future. Most of the people in my family wear them.

Wear glasses and contacts. Started with glasses when I was 10 and contacts at 16; now I switch back and forth every couple days.

I wear both. Some days its glasses and others it contacts but I always have one or the other on, as I am very nearsighted without them.

Reading glasses only - but only for the last couple of years. And I can read most things perfectly well without them, providing the light is good. So I usually only put them on for tiny print, reading something in poor light, or for sewing.
